This was once a project for my Photoshop class about a year ago. The objective was to create a surreal collage that was inspired by a surreal artist. The artist I picked was Dorothea Tanning, who made plenty of art where it was common that she would include "rifts" in reality that lead to worlds of the strange. I was also inspired by Nightwish's song "The Escapist", where the person in the song felt imprisoned by reality and wanted to escape into their imagination.

This is a digital collage. I got all the images from flickr (all under the creative common licenses) and edited them in photoshop.
